Mt Davis is in a state park so we stopped at the picnic area and had a nice lunch before heading off to the summit. After lunch we took the trail from the picnic area to the high point and tower. Mt Davis is mostly a plateau and the high point is a rock sticking up above the other rocks on it. This makes the trail, which is less than a mile one way, fairly level. If you are not inclined to hike, you can drive and park within a few hundred feet of the tower and high point.Jan & Steven on the tower.

A few other sights we stopped at in the area, Baughman Rocks, High Point Lake overlook and the remnants of a Civilian Conservation Corps camp from the 1930's
